Brenda Stein’s recent works in wood will be featured along with the talented Kim Barrick and Carolyn Riess-Dodson latest paintings in “Three Perspectives” an exhibit at Nashville Centennial Art Center’s gallery, February 3 through March 28, 2012.
The exhibit opens with an Artists’ Reception between the hours of 5 pm and 7 pm on Friday, February 3. Admission is free.
Lena Arice Lucas, Centennial Art Center’s gallery manager, says of this exhibition, “This strong trio of artists is each solidly, sincerely dedicated to creating their art. That dedication has resulted in mature, engaging and beautiful works that should inspire viewers.”
Brenda McSurley, the Art Center’s Director, enthuses, “Please join Centennial Art Center’s educators and staff for the first of our 2012 Gallery Exhibitions! Wonderful painters Kim Barrick and Carolyn Riess-Dodson – along with the fantastic woodturner, Brenda Stein – will be displaying their most recent art with central themes of nature and preservation. Visitors may view the exhibition, meet the artists, shop and enjoy refreshments – including Cabot Cheese (a co-sponsor of our receptions) – while relaxing in the Art Center. When attending this event, be sure to visit our Herb Garden, located behind the Art Center in the enclosed courtyard. We hope to see our Art Center supporters – and many new friends – joining us during the artists’ opening reception.”
Centennial Art Center regular hours are Monday – Thurs, 9:30 – 4:30. Please call 615.862.8442 for more information.
